Little Eden holds AGM

"The residents are the masters of joy, love and simplicity,”

Little Eden Society thanked all who attended the 49th annual general meeting held on July 14.

Among the attendees were Little Eden board of governors members, residents, staff, volunteers and members of the local community.

The chairperson of the board of governors, Alex Angus, opened the meeting by welcoming all present and thanking everyone for their assistance.

Longterm French volunteer, Jennifer Charles said she was grateful to Little Eden and Fidesco for giving her the opportunity to serve the society.

“The residents are the masters of joy, love and simplicity,” said Charles.

Two of the volunteers about to finish their term at Little Eden, Aude and Jérôme de Guerny, together with members of the board of governors were also given certificates of appreciation.

The board of governors remains largely unchanged with Alex Angus as chairperson, Maurizio Galimberti as vice chairperson and Rosetta Xaba as treasurer.

The board welcomed Sedzani Mudau, Maleshini Naidoo and Thato Nkosi as new members while goodbyes were said to Yvonne Thipe who resigned after 15 years of service on the board.
