UPDATE: Team work leads to business robbery arrest

Four suspects held customers and staff at gun point before making off with a small amount of cash and other valuables.

Team work between police and security officers resulted in one arrest following a business robbery at a popular family restaurant in Edenglen last night .

Four suspects held customers and staff at gun point before making off with a small amount of cash and other valuables.

Alert community members and security officers alerted police to the robbery.

The suspects fled the scene in a dark coloured Mercedes Benz.

No one in the restaurant was seriously injured.

The vehicle the suspects was travelling in was spotted close to Alexandra on the outskirts of Edenvale shortly after the robbery.

Responding officers were able to arrest one suspect who will face charges of business robbery as well as possession of an unlicensed firearm.

The vehicle used was also recovered.
