Sacred Heart’s Music Festival well supported

The iconic Sipho ‘Hotstix’ Mabuse made a guest appearance on stage with his son’s jazz band.

Sacred Heart College hosted its music festival on October 7.

Some families took picnic baskets to the festival, while others took advantage of the delicious food on sale.

The festival boasted a dedicated children’s entertainment area.

The iconic Sipho ‘Hotstix’ Mabuse made a guest appearance on stage with his son’s jazz band.

House band Hov n Bae took the day into the sunset by entertaining festival patrons with a variety of party classics.

Euphonik DJ, La Sizwe and Rise Academy DJs were also on the decks to entertain the audience.

“The aim of the event was to raise funds.

“A portion of proceeds will go towards the Three2Six Education Programme, which is supported by Sacred Heart. It provides a bridging educational programme for Grade R to Grade Six refugee children who have been denied access to public education,” said Colin Northmore from Sacred Heart.
