Malvern artists showcase their talents

The judges were Mbali Khumalo of Evedia Posh Fam and Malvern residents Gugu Smith and Siphiwe Njekeni.

The Malvern Got Talent show was held at the Faith Centre in Malvern on October 7.

The theme for the show was Embracing Our Culture and the event gave youngsters of Malvern and surrounds the opportunity to showcase their talents on stage.

The judges were Mbali Khumalo of Evedia Posh Fam as well as Malvern residents Gugu Smith and Siphiwe Njekeni.

Organiser of the event, Mxolisi Phindani, apologised for the change of venue and thanked everyone who participated in the event.

“The event attracted a number of young artists and audience members. People came in their numbers to support us in cold rainy weather. I would like to thank everyone who participated,” he said.

The winners were:

• Tribal Explosive who won the first prize of R1 000.

• Maqhawe, a poet who won the second prize of R750.

• Intombi Yasentbzwe traditional group who won the third prize of R300.
