Spokesperson for the Jeppe Police Station, Captain Richard Munyai, said the victim’s girlfriend alleged that she went to the bar to look for him.

“She found his car parked outside. The lights were off. She looked through the window and saw him lying on the couch inside. She called him and he opened for her.

“He told her that three of his employees assaulted him and took some items from the bar and fled the scene,” he said.

Munyai said the suspects took a deep fryer, amplifier, DSTV decoder, whiskey and cigarettes.

“A case of assault and business robbery was opened at the station. Two suspects, aged 25 and 27, were arrested and detained at Jeppe SAPS. The third suspect is still on the run,” he said.
