Bedfordview SAPS festive season operation underway

The dagga found on the two women weighed a total of 1.195kg and was valued at R1 472.80 in cash.

With the festive season upon us, the Bedfordview Police Station has launched its festive season crime prevention campaign.

Bedfordview SAPS arrested two women and one man during a crime prevention operation with Ekurhuleni Metro Police Department (EMPD) on November 22 in Bedfordview.

Dagga and money recovered during the crime operation in Bedfordview.

The suspects were arrested for possession of dagga and dealing in drugs.

The dagga found on the two women weighed a total of 1.195kg and was valued at R1 472.80 in cash.

The other suspect was in possession of dagga and weighed of 195.350g at a value of R714.85 in cash.

Bedfordview SAPS spokesperson Capt André de Jager said the police were doing a high visibility anti-crime operation when the three suspects were arrested.

He said future operations will be held throughout the festive period.
