The festive season is here and that means spending time with friends, family and giving.
“I would like to send my warmest wishes to all those who are celebrating Christmas. As Ward 61 and all residents across Joburg, let us recognise the sense of renewed hope and happiness this season brings.
“This is the time when we get together and celebrate the meaning of Christmas,” said Ward 61 and 62 DA PR Clr Bongani Nkwanyana.
He encouraged people to give to those who are less fortunate.
“When sharing we must keep in mind that there are some people who do not have families and others who cannot afford Christmas lunch and gifts. If you are fortunate to have more, share with others and make their Christmas also special,” said Nkwanyana.
He said people must take time to reflect on the year.
“Life has its challenges but we must be grateful for where we are, what we have done and know that next year will get better,” said Nkwanyana.
He said he will be available throughout the festive season and that residents are welcome to contact him at any time.
“I wish all residents a Merry Christmas and a Happy New Year,” said Nkwanyana.
