Here are five water-wise tips for gardeners to follow to help them save water while keeping their gardens looking beautiful:
- Water your gardens during the late afternoon/early evening when temperatures are cooler.

- Scatter mulch around your flowerbeds as it will help keep the soil cool.
- Plant indigenous plants that are drought resistant and do not require a lot of watering.
- Remove weeds and other alien plants from your garden.
