A dark grey Toyota Fortuner belonging to a Modderfontein family was stolen between January 4 and January 5.
Chief Superintendent Wilfred Kgasago, Ekurhuleni Metro Police Department (EMPD) Spokesperson, said the vehicle was left in the yard when the family went on holiday.
He said the stolen vehicle was recovered in Spruitview on January 6 by the EMPD Public Order Policing Unit members.

“The vehicle was found abandoned with its ignition damaged and the interior stripped. The recovered Toyota Fortuner was towed to SAPS Van Ryn pound in Benoni for further investigations and safe-keeping,”said Kgasago.
