Lifeline, Department of Community Safety, the South African National Council on Alcoholism and Drug Dependence (SANCA), Jeppe Community Policing Forum and Jeppe SAPS embarked on a school safety plan campaign recently.

They visited Queens High School and Jules High School where they engaged with learners.
“SAPS educated learners about the risk of bullying, hitch-hiking by learners on the roads, carrying illegal weapons and substance abuse,” said Jeppe SAPS spokesperson Captain Richard Munyai.
SANCA educated learners about substance abuse, while Lifeline educated the learners about counselling and any assistance learners might need as a youth.
Munyai said the school safety plan campaign will be rolled-out to all schools in the Jeppe SAPS policing precinct throughout the month of February.
