Scratchboard demo in Edenvale a success

Johannesburg-born artist Tarran Saunders recently held a demonstration at the Paint & Palette group.

The demonstration, which was hosted by the group, was held on March 17 at the Edenvale Community Centre.

Tarran, who is one of the few South African artists known to use the scratchboard technique, showed the audience techniques for scratchboard art.

“She was inspirational and created huge enthusiasm for her technique,” said Moira Simonsen, demonstration co-ordinator for the group.

Tarran will return to the group to present other demonstrations later this year.
