Johannesburg SAPS East Cluster arrested 103 suspects between April 20 and 22.
The suspects were arrested for crimes ranging from robbery and rape to murder.
This cluster is made up of seven police stations namely Cleveland, Jeppe, Hillbrow, Rosebank, Parkview, Norwood and Yeoville.
The arrests included:
• Five for possession of unlicensed firearm.
• Eight for assault with intent to cause grievous bodily harm (GBH).
• Four for common assault common (domestic violence).
• Four for armed robbery.
• One for rape.
• One for attempted murder.
• One for malicious damage to property.
“The suspects have appeared in different courts. Some have paid their fines while others are out on bail and others remain in prison,” said Parkview SAPS spokesperson Captain Tintswalo Sibeko.
