Traffic through Edenvale is gridlocked this afternoon.

This follows the arrest of two suspects in the CBD.

The two were arrested for possession of unlicensed pistols and revolver and ammunition .

Earlier this afternoon four suspects followed a woman home and attempted to rob her at her town house complex in Sector 1 .

The resident’s husband was home and an alarm was activated, the suspects fled the scene in a silver Mercedes .

An unmarked EMPD metro vehicle noticed a Mercedes-Benz driving badly not aware of the robbery and gave chase.

The Mercedes then proceeded to cause an accident on the cnr of Van Riebeeck Ave and Horwood Str, where two of the four suspects were arrested by the Metro officer .

Two suspects managed to get away and the police are looking for them.
