Residents and business owners of the City of Ekurhuleni (CoE) are reminded that from July 1 tariffs will increase in price.
Themba Gadebe, spokesperson of the CoE, said the following tariffs have increased:
• Assessment rates by 6.9 per cent.
• Water by 12.96 per cent.
• Sanitation by 9 per cent.
• Refuse removal by 7.5 per cent.
• Electricity between 5.32 per cent and 8.5 per cent – subject to use.
“The changes were announced by MMC for Finance and Economic Development Clr Doctor Nkosindiphile Xhakaza when he tabled the 2018/2019 budget speech,” said Gadebe.
