#NewsYouCanUse: Restaurant owner to launch Bedfordview and Edenvale Business Forum
There are also economical and environmental hurdles to jump over when owning a business.
Bajith Panday hopes to launch a Bedfordview and Edenvale Business Forum that will benefit local businesses in the near future.
Panday has a master’s in education but has been in the food industry since 1997 when he opened a fish and chips shop.
Panday, owner of Col’cacchio in Eastgate, said that owning a business can be a lonely place as you are up against many big players such as banks.
There are also economical and environmental hurdles to jump over when owning a business.
“The business forum will, therefore, be based on challenges that are shared amongst businesses and will, therefore, offer innovative solutions,” said Panday.
He said that networking will also play an important role in the business forum.
He plans to have keynote speakers to offer valuable advice for local businesses.
The forum will be open to any business and he sees this as an opportunity to keep up to date with legislation, as it is difficult to keep up to date with changes.
Panday foresees four to eight seminars annually, roughly one forum per month with various speakers at each forum.
He also hopes that the business forum can do charity work and help the fight against crime in the future.
The business forum will be an open invitation.
The first business forum will be held on September 5.
