Group hike to take place

A three-koppie group hike of eight km lasting around three hours through the Melville Koppies will take place on October 28.

Those wanting to attend the event are asked to meet in the upper parking area at Marks Park situated on Judith Road in Emmarentia.

The hike will set off 8.30am.

The cost of the hike will be R60 for adults and R40 for children.

All funds raised will be used to maintain the koppies.

Hikers need to be fit and have good balance as paths are rocky and steep; children must be over six years old.

No dogs will be allowed on the hike.
