HRS learners excel at national equestrian event

Holy Rosary School’s equitation learners attended and competed in the South African National Equestrian Schools Association national event where they performed well.

It was held at Kyalami Equestrian Park between October 4 and 6.

Primary school learners Grace Webber and Shelby Dos Santos competed in the working Hunter class and equitation for the Gauteng B team respectively.

The Gauteng B team was placed first in the country for level one equitation Shelby placed sixth out of 46 riders.

Holy Rosary High School learner Kate Metzer competed at the South African National Equestrian Schools Association national event.

Grace also did well in her event, however she was eliminated because she jumped the incorrect track.

High school learners Tana Leigh Scott and Kate Metzer competed in the C team for novice equitation and preliminary dressage class respectively.

Tana Leigh was awarded the 6th place out of 29 riders while Kate finished 44th out of 53 riders
