SAPS and NPO partner up to create awareness

The NPO believes it has an important role to play in eradicating crime.

Non-profit organisation Women Who Pray Movement (WWP) will host a prayer walk in Edenvale.

The walk will be held on October 27 between 8.30am and 12.30pm.

It will start at Protea Park on First Avenue and continue to Elm Street, Hendrik Potgieter Street, Van Riebeek Avenue, Tenth Street and back to Protea Park.

The focus of the event is to pray for the eradication of violence and crime.

The NPO believes it has an important role to play in eradicating crime.

Community members of all ages, sexes and beliefs are invited to attend the event.

Head of the Edenvale SAPS Social Crime Prevention Unit Sgt Jacob Mashile said churches, community members, the SAPS and youth desk will take part in the walk.
