School hosts frightening fund-raiser

Funds raised are used for general upkeep and maintenance of the school.

Screams echoed in the hall of Eastleigh Primary School as community members flocked to the school’s Halloween themed fund-raising evening.

It was on October 27 and saw Grade Seven learners from the school dress up to frighten those who dared visit.

One of the learners dressed as a clown hid under the stairs in Eastleigh Primary School’s haunted house to give community members a fright.

The event, held every second year, allows the school to raise much-needed funds.

Deputy principal of the school Hanelene Muller said the funds raised are used for general upkeep and maintenance of the school.

Haunted house coordinator Heleen Spies said the event is held every second year to give community members something different and not to have the same event every year.

She said this year’s event went very well.
