Edenvale’s Rundle ready for 2019
"A clean, crime-free, safe and healthy living environment is a right that is protected by the constitution of South Africa."
With 2019 on the go, Ward 19 Clr Bill Rundle has wished residents all the best for their endeavours and the year ahead.

“As we all know, 2019 is an election year and probably one of the most important years in the history of the country,” said Rundle.
“Having a dual function as an elected public and community representative for all residents and conducting political work it will no doubt be a very busy time.”

Rundle said this year he will focus on mobilising the community to demand and fight for their rights in terms of service delivery and contributions to the fiscus as taxpayers.
“A clean, crime-free, safe and healthy living environment is a right that is protected by the constitution of South Africa,” added Rundle.
Efficient water and energy services, clean and pothole free well-maintained roads, clean and maintained parks, water and sewage leaks minimised and responded to without delay are what Rundle hopes to achieve.
“Residents must report issues as soon as possible, petitions and lobbying must be employed to maintain pressure on the municipality so that it complies.”
Rundle urged for support from the community for the many efficient and service delivery conscious officials to ensure vacancies in departments are filled.
He reminded community members to comply to by-laws and work in partnership with officers of the law.
“The by-laws benefit communities in order to maintain minimum acceptable standards of behaviour and compliance.
“Enforcing them can only be done by well trained, competent and dedicated officers who are assisted by the community.”
Rundle said SA is backed by a rainbow nation, working together as one will yield results that will benefit all of the people.
He encouraged community members to assist those in need wherever they can and let the culture of helping others become a way of life and not only a single event.
