As schools in Johannesburg and across South Africa ready to open up their classrooms to the class of 2019, principal at Assumption Convent School, Neville Workman shared a special message to learners.
“While we are proud of what our 2018 matrics have achieved in academics, on the sports field and on stage, it is exciting to know that this is just the beginning. The best is yet to come!
“We look forward to following and celebrating the future success of the class of 2018 in their tertiary studies, in their chosen careers and in their personal pursuits. We encourage them to strive to make our world a safer, kinder and a happier place. Above all, we wish them happy, purposeful and fulfilling lives.
“We encourage our matric class of 2019 to enjoy every minute of their final year of school. Be brave and embrace the challenges that will inevitably come your way. Do not be afraid of hard work and commitment.
“Work as a team and always be ready to lend a helping hand where needed. Cherish and nurture special friendships, laugh often and celebrate life. You are assured that your teachers will be there to guide and support you. Good luck!”
