Bedfordview Scout Troop goes to Harties

Sixteen members of the 1st Bedfordview Scout Troop recently enjoyed a five day camp on the shores of Hartebeespoort Dam.

Scout Andrew Campbell said the camp was run by Kyle Botes as part of his Springbok Scout Award and was filled with activities including boating, hiking, pioneering and orienteering.

“One of the highlights of the camp was a visit to the Hartebeeshoek Radio Telescope, where the scouts learnt a little bit about outer space,” said Campbell.
