Edenvale resident Louis Leonard lost three dogs due to an alleged poisoning.
Leonard said that he woke up late for work on March 19 and noticed nothing different in his driveway.
He said after he left his home, his employee saw bundles of food in the driveway, which he believed to be dog feaces and thought nothing of it.
Later his employee saw all three dogs eating what was in the driveway and then took a closer look and said it resembled bone meal.
“About three hours later I got a phone call from my employee saying that all three of my dogs were ill. When I arrived, two of my dogs had already died and I rushed the surviving dog to the vet,” said Leonard.
Leonard said that the last dog died at the vet.
The vet told Leonard that all the dogs had been poisoned.
Leonard believes that whoever poisoned his dogs waited for him to leave his home and then proceeded to throw the bone meal into his yard.
“My dogs were very dear to me. I would like other residents in Edenvale to be aware of such activity in the area,” said Leonard.
