A 31-year-old suspect is expected to appear in the Edenvale Magistrate’s Court charged with the possession and dealing in narcotics by Edenvale SAPS.
The arrest took place on March 26.
EMPD Drug Enforcement Unit received a complaint from residents of Fourth Avenue in Edenvale about the drug use at a house in the street.
No drugs were found at the reported house.
Further information received led the Drug Enforcement Unit members to another house on Fourth Avenue.
EMPD spokesperson Chief Supt Wilfred Kgasago said that khat and dagga with a street value of over R10 000 were recovered at the house.
“One block of khat weighing 40.4g and four large zip locks of dagga weighing 24.6g were found,” said Kgasago.
