Loyal shopper gets big reward

Bedforview resident Gail Diers won R2 800 worth of groceries from Spar Bedfordview just in time for her camping trip through Africa.

On April 30, Gail was doing shopping for an upcoming camping trip through Botswana, Zambia and the Caprivi Strip.

“I had to work through a long list of food items for four to six weeks in the bush. I got to the till with a trolley full of camping goods, anticipating the cost.

“As the cashier tapped the total, I held my breath, dreading the cost. She then turned to me with a quizzical look on her face.

“She said the total showed R0. The manager arrived and told me I am one of the 1 000 Spar Rewards members who won their groceries for free,” Gail said.
