The spokesperson said elections in Edenvale have been calm with no major disruptions during previous elections.

Mashile hopes that this year community members maintain the standard of previous years.

“I believe that if we maintain the same standards, the electoral process will go smoothly.”

“I hope that we as South Africans can continue to live in peace with one another and learn to be more tolerant of each other.”

Mashile would like to see more recognition given to the men and women on the ground working at various departments.

“Personally, I believe that elections are very important because it gives community members the opportunity to voice their grievances and be heard.”
