Fête for the elderly

The Rand Aid Village recently ran different stalls and also sold items made in its occupational therapy department.

Good food, interesting pottery and great weather, made the Thembalami Care Centre fête a fun day out.

Eight outside stallholders sold blankets, Indian food, preservatives, shoes, handbags, tablecloths, dog blankets, handmade soap and movies.

“The tea garden and boerewors roll stand did a bumper trade as well,” said Thembalami’s manager, Elize Raath.

The Edenvale Cubs and 1st St Benedict’s Pack Scouts were present, enjoying the offerings and volunteering to help where they could.

Cake and hot beverages were served from the lapa and happy to take orders was Thembalami staff member, Lerato Semenya.
