Bedfordview SAPS warns residents to be aware of impersonators

Criminals disguise themselves as pest controllers, pool cleaners and repairmen.

Bedfordview SAPS warned residents in Bedfordview to be vigilant of whom they let into their homes.

Capt André de Jager, Bedfordview SAPS spokesperson, said that the station has opened two recent cases of men gaining access to properties on the pretence of being professional service providers.

He said that criminals disguise themselves as pest controllers, pool cleaners and repairmen.

De Jager added that domestic workers should also be made aware of this modus operandi.

“The community should be on the lookout for this as they are operating in the area in disguise. If you see any suspicious behavior, please report it,” said de Jager.
