A security guard was shot during a building site robbery in Klopperpark on October 5.
Bedfordview SAPS spokesperson Capt André de Jager said the security guard was shot after two armed men robbed two men of an undisclosed amount of cash and a cellphone on a building site in Klopperpark.
“The security guard was returning from nearby shops when the suspects, armed with handguns, noticed him and shot him once,” said de Jager.
De Jager said the security guard was taken to the nearest hospital for treatment.
He said the investigation will continue as no arrests have been made and the whereabouts of the suspects are unknown.
De Jager added a business robbery case was opened at Bedfordview SAPS.
