Get fuller eyebrows with microblading
The procedure is semi-permanent and will make your eyebrows look totally natural.
Microblading is a cosmetic procedure where a fine pen is used to place pigment directly under the skin, creating brow-hair-like strokes for fuller-looking arches.
The procedure is semi-permanent and will make your eyebrows look totally natural. If you have to fill in your eyebrows daily, then microblading might just be for you.
The process is very precise due to the tool that is used which is effectively like a pen with the nib being a sloped blade with 10 to 12 little needles at the end. The needles don’t penetrate the skin but just delicately scratch the surface, much like a paper cut.
The microneedles are so tiny that they can’t be seen in detail by the naked eye, so they can realistically mimic brow hairs by creating thin strokes.
Your first appointment will be the longest, as you need to fill out paperwork and choose a brow shape you would like. Your aesthetician will apply numbing cream to the brow area and then the procedure itself will take 30 to 45 minutes.
Although you may not feel any pain during the procedure itself, you may notice some discomfort after the procedure as the area heals.
The day after your appointment, you may see the eyebrow area turn very dark, then it will soften and peel. The colour will look like it disappears and then returns.
While microblading can last up to two years, the results differ depending on the person and their reaction to the ink. Typically, people are advised to touch-up the colour and shape every six months.
The most important product you can use after a microblading treatment is sunscreen. Like with other tattoos, sunscreen helps extend the longevity of your brows and prevent against fading from the sun.
To prevent any further fading, don’t wet the brows for a week or two while they heal and don’t use any makeup on the area for at least a week. Once the skin is completely healed, it’s okay to go back to a normal skin and makeup routine.
