Members of Edenvale SAPS, the SANDF and Gauteng Traffic Police took to the streets of Edenvale in a joint operation.
The operation, held to enforce lockdown regulations, occurred on May 30 and 31 and was headed by Edenvale Station Commander Col Sudesh Sookraj.

Sookraj said the operation was held to help reduce the spread of the virus.
“Operations like this are a first for the station,” said Sookraj.

During the operation, the convoy stopped at Eden Mall Taxi Rink where its members ensured community members waiting for transport were obeying regulations.
At the rank a plastic bag filled with several small bankies of cannabis was found.

No one was arrested in connection to the confiscated cannabis and at the time the value of the drug was not known.
