
Eastgate Shopping Centre confirmed a robbery took place at a store in the centre at approximately 11.45am on July 30.
In a statement, the centre management said no staff or customers were harmed during the incident.

“The centre’s security teams immediately responded to the scene and the SAPS were notified, and responded to the scene soon after.
“The safety and security of shoppers, staff and tenants is of utmost importance to Eastgate Shopping Centre and we are working with the SAPS and security experts to assist with their investigation,” said Eastgate marketing manager Alana Hoskin.
