Medical practices targeted in new crime trend

The Bedfordview SAPS has warned medical practices in the area to be aware of an emerging crime trend.

“Several cases of robberies at medical practices have been reported across Gauteng,” said station commander Col Justus Geustyn.

He added that while there have been no reported cases in Bedfordview, those working in medical rooms need to be aware at all times.

The station commander urged employees at practices to be vigilant at all times and to monitor who enters the premises.

“Make use of security providers to bolster on-premises security,” he said.
