Panthers face off against Heidelberg
"It was good to be back on the field after a year of no rugby."
Edenvale’s Pactfreight Panthers took to the field when they faced off against Heidelberg on May 22.
Despite giving it their all, the Panthers lost by four points and ended the game with a score of 19-22.
Long-standing captain and chairperson of the Panthers Rugby Club Phillip Venter was injured in the first three minutes of the game.

He commended the team for playing well.
“It was one of those games where the one team scored and then straight afterwards the opposing team scored,” explained Venter.
“It was good to be back on the field after a year of no rugby.”
Looking to the remainder of the league, Venter hopes the Panthers will make it to the semi-finals with the bonus point they attained during the game.
