Motorist left frustrated after visit to Edenvale Licensing Department

If the system does not work, how can a person make an appointment?

Editor – I am very upset with the licence renewal system.

I was recently at the Edenvale Licensing Department from 12:15. They opened at 13:00 and started to let people in.

An employee came to the people in the queue to tell them what they needed to do and I was given a form to complete to renew my licence.

I completed the form. I was then told I could not enter if I didn’t have an appointment.

Nowhere does it say on the NaTIS site you are required to make an appointment.

I expressed my concerns as the system does not allow you to make an appointment, not even at 12:00 or 16:00. The system is flawed.

At 13:15 he let in a man whose appointment was only at 14:30 and told him it was fine because it was not busy.

If the system does not work how can a person make an appointment?

When I asked to speak with the manager he walked away talking in a different language and people in the queue were laughing.

So obviously he was making a big joke about it.

The manager and the staff did not care that an appointment could not be made. So I ask what must I do?

My licence has expired and I cannot get it renewed.
