Lions honour the work of community member

Gail has worked in the community, helping those in need, for the past 15 years.

Edenvale resident Gail Hume received a certificate of appreciation from the Edenvale Lions Club in light of the work she has done for the community.

The certificate was handed to Gail on August 13 at the clubhouse for the Edenvale Lions.

Margie Kienast, of the Lions, said Gail has worked in the community, helping those in need, for the past 15 years.

Gail was a founder of Eden Angels and started a non-profit company of her own called The Beacon of Hope.

Some of the work Gail does includes making and delivering more than 300 litres of soup and food to the needy in Edenvale.

She runs a feeding scheme at Edenglen High School, donating blankets and clothes to those in need.

Margie said because Gail is emigrating to the USA in September, the Lions wanted to thank her for the work she’s done in and for the community.
