Management of Karaglen Shopping Centre confirmed Karaglen SuperSpar is trading as normal following a robbery at the centre earlier this morning.

“A customer attempted to deposit a large sum of money at one of the banks and was robbed in the centre,” Mr Harry Karamichael said.

He added that a shot was fired but no injuries were reported.

“We are working with the police as they conduct their investigation.”

“There was no robbery at Karaglen SuperSpar and we are open for trade.

“We urge customers and businesses to not deposit large sums of money at any bank and to always be vigilant and aware of their surroundings at all times,” he said.
