Eastleigh artist to release new mixtape

Fans of Eastleigh resident and musician Luthabo Ndlovu (Lawd Propaganda) can look forward to his latest seven-track mixtape set to be released in April.

The mixtape is titled In the Pursuit of Love Words.

Luthabo started working on his new project after returning from his Eastern Cape tour last year.

“This mixtape wasn’t really a focus project but something that was created over time,” said Luthabo.

“Everything went well. I feel like I haven’t created music like this before. I feel like I could successfully convey the emotions that I was feeling at the time.”

Luthabo said one of the mixtape’s tracks Nandipha is about falling in love, letting your guard down and letting yourself be open to having your heart broken.

He said creating the mixtape was not only about creating music but was also about self-discovery and healing.

“While writing the lyrics and creating the mixtape, I discovered and learned more about myself.”

While creating the mixtape, Luthabo realised that everything in life is about pursuing love.

Through the release of his latest mixtape, Luthabo hopes to promote love among community members and those who listen to his music.

“Love is the most powerful form of energy if not the only genuine source of happiness,” highlighted Luthabo.

He added although love is a powerful word, it means nothing without actions.

Going forward, Luthabo hopes to encourage others to give more than they take and to never take more than they are given.

“The truth is we were given far more than we can take, so we must never be greedy.”

Luthabo said ‘people without the words to say anything’ will enjoy his mixtape.

“I believe people who will enjoy these tracks will be people who can’t find the words for other people’s actions or people who are uncertain of where they are in life.”
