Domestic worker tied up in Morninghill robbery

According to spokesperson for the Bedfordview SAPS Sgt Lilian Modiga, the domestic worker was completing ironing duties when she allegedly heard a man’s voice in the house.

A Morninghill domestic worker was tied up during a robbery on March 15.

The homeowner was at a local shopping centre when she was alerted by a neighbour that something was wrong at her house.

According to spokesperson for the Bedfordview SAPS Sgt Lilian Modiga, the domestic worker was completing ironing duties when she allegedly heard a man’s voice in the house.

“The domestic worker was tied up with cable before an unknown number of men took items from the house.”
She added that a laptop, three cellphones and two televisions were among the items the men loaded into the family’s vehicle before fleeing the scene.

“The vehicle was later recovered in Alexandra.”
