Bedfordview Police investigate attempted murder after a woman is shot
The suspect has since been detained at the police station and the matter is being investigated.
Bedfordview police are investigating a case of attempted murder and possession of a firearm and ammunition.

This is after a complainant alleged the suspect came to his house and became aggressive.
It is alleged the perpetrator then started attacking the complainant’s wife and family.
When they attempted to stop him, he then took out his firearm and shot once into the ground.
A scuffle broke out and another shot was fired, injuring the wife in the leg.
According to the police, the victim managed to get hold of the firearm.
“The suspect was tied with cable wires,” said Bedfordview police spokesperson Sergeant Lillian Modiga.
The suspect has since been detained at the police station and the matter is being investigated.
