Community Safety warns public about fake wardens’ job adverts

The Gauteng Department of Community Safety has urged job seekers to be cautious of fraudulent job adverts for wardens circulating.

Fake job adverts for wardens are spreading rapidly on social media, prompting the Gauteng Department of Community Safety to warn job seekers to exercise caution before applying.

According to the department, the fraudulent posts falsely claim that applications can be submitted via WhatsApp or other unofficial channels.

“The department will never request applications through WhatsApp or any unverified platform,” the statement read.

Residents are urged to remain vigilant and only apply for vacancies through official government channels.
