One suspect arrested for attempted murder after Nicol Road shooting
Shooting on Nicol Road leaves complainant and bodyguard grazed by bullets while one suspect is shot and arrested.
Bedfordview police responded to a shooting on Nicol Road on October 7, during which officers arrested one suspect.
Bedfordview SAPS communication liaison officer, Sergeant Lillian Modiga, said the complainant was about to leave his business premises in his vehicle when he noticed a black or dark grey Audi at the company gate.

As the gate opened, three suspects got out of the Audi and shot at the complainant’s vehicle.
The complainant’s bodyguards, who were in a vehicle behind him, returned fire, and the suspects fled the scene.
Modiga said bullets grazed the complainant and one bodyguard. Ambulance personnel attended to them on the scene.
The arrested suspect is in the hospital after being shot during the incident.
The case is under investigation.
