The Johannesburg Flying Squad recovered a vehicle in Modderfontein during weekend operations across the Johannesburg policing area.

Gauteng Police Emergency Services spokesperson Special Police Officer Raymond Sambo said officers patrolling the intersection of Modderfontein Road (R25) and Percy Road found a silver Hyundai i10 abandoned at around 01:00 on August 30.

The vehicle had reportedly been taken in a robbery.

Sambo said the vehicle was booked at the pound for safekeeping and further investigation.
