Edenvale High learner earns national colours for representing SA in Thailand
At the festival, Mary received a silver medal in unison kata and a bronze medal for individual kumite despite having broken toes.
Edenvale High School learner Mary Hambardzumyan recently received her Karate South Africa (KSA) national colours for 2023 and represented SA in Thailand as a national team member.
While in Thailand, the SA team won a gold medal.
In addition, the school congratulated Mary for her performance at the Arnold Sports Festival.

Mary won a silver medal in unison kata and a bronze medal for individual kumite despite having broken toes.
In June, she represented SA in Zimbabwe at the Union of African Karate Federations (UFAK) Region South Championships.
She won two bronze medals for individual kata and kumite.
