Six suspects arrested for theft of goods valued at R3.8-million in Bedfordview

Six suspects have recently been arrested in connection with a business burglary involving the theft of solar panels and inverters in Bedfordview.

According to the Bedfordview SAPS acting station commander, Sinothi Ndaba, the incident unfolded between Friday and Saturday night with the perpetrators operating within the same warehouse and working together with the security guard.

The security guard is among those arrested.

“He was paid R9 000, which the police managed to recover,” said Ndaba.

The value of the stolen goods amounted to R3.8m.

Three of the apprehended suspects remain in custody, while the remaining three have been released on bail.

These individuals are believed to be part of a notorious gang known for targeting businesses and engaging in theft, particularly of high-value items such as tires.
