Edenvale Clinic hosts open day

The open day encouraged community members to take charge of their health and helped them learn more about the services on offer.

Patient empowerment was the name of the day when Edenvale Clinic hosted its annual open day for the community.

The event was held on September 18. Facility manager Mbali Mabogwane welcomed attendees and introduced community members to various staff and stakeholders of the clinic.

The open day encouraged community members to take charge of their health and helped them learn more about the services on offer.

Deemed a success, specialists and staff spoke about their duties, responsibilities and what they require from community members seeking assistance.

The clinic offers basic primary health care services for babies, children, women and men.

It also manages communicable diseases, mental health, and acute, curative and chronic diseases.

Specialised services include dentists, occupational therapy, podiatry, physiotherapy, psychologists and school health services.

The clinic is open Mondays to Fridays between 08:00 and 16:00 but is not open on public holidays.
