Dowerglen KwikSPAR officially re-opens
Located at the Dowerglen Plaza, the upgraded and improved KwikSPAR, with a fresh look and new feel, re-opened with a ribbon-cutting ceremony on November 20.
Dowerglen KwikSPAR has officially re-opened its doors to the community.
Located at the Dowerglen Plaza, the upgraded and improved KwikSPAR, with a fresh look and new feel, re-opened with a ribbon-cutting ceremony on November 20.
Temporarily closed earlier this year, the store has undergone several upgrades, renovations and improvements to enhance the shopping experience.

Community members can look forward to a modern, contemporary shopping experience providing fresh and high-quality goods.
Besides changing the store’s layout, the kitchen, bakery and butchery were all redone and improved.
The managing director of SPAR South Rand, Desmond Borrageiro, said the journey to re-open was not short.
He said many stakeholders and the partnership between community members, landlords and retailers made it possible.

Landlord Wayne Marks thanked everyone for their patience, understanding and help in making this happen.
“We have immense gratitude for what was achieved. We are all here to serve the community, so we welcome this partnership with gratitude,” said Marks.

The owner of the store, Sundeep Desai, said the project was years in the making.
“It has not been an easy road, but we are here.”
Sundeep thanked the staff for their commitment during uncertain times.
The store kept all of the original staff for the re-opening.
