Resident gives local NPO a boost
“This is more than just a donation; it’s a call to action,” said Sakota.
Bedfordview resident Tanya Sakota has donated R10 000 to the local NPO, Better Bedfordview.
The donation was made in recognition of the work done by the NPO.
“As a dedicated supporter of community upliftment, I have seen their outstanding efforts in enhancing the area and enriching the lives of its residents.

Better Bedfordview is a local initiative focused on improving the community’s infrastructure, safety, and overall appeal, and has made significant strides in transforming Bedfordview into a thriving and desirable area.
“This is more than just a donation; it’s a call to action,” said Sakota.

“I challenge every Bedfordview real estate agent, business, and resident to match my donation or contribute what they can to this incredible cause.
“Together, we can build an even better Bedfordview.
“Let’s unite as a community and make a lasting difference.
“Every contribution, no matter the size, brings us one step closer to a stronger, safer, and more beautiful Bedfordview,” she added.
Better Bedfordview chairperson, Marina Constas said it is heartening to see local estate agents recognise the importance and value of the work done by the organisation.

“We appreciate this generous donation from Tanya Sakota of RE/MAX One Bedfordview.
“Kerb appeal is one of the big things that property buyers consider.
“Security is another.
“Studies show that criminals are deterred by a clean, neat, well-maintained neighbourhood where residents are active, involved and care about their environment,” said Constas.
Additionally, she said Better Bedfordview’s work is undoubtedly boosting property sales in the area, as well as protecting and growing property values.
She appealed to all local estate agents to follow the lead of Tanya Sakota and others who are currently contributing to Better Bedfordview, including Wanda Bollo Estates, Bedford Brokerage, Greg Marucchi Properties and Ingrid Hoaten at Lew Geffen Sotheby’s Realty.
“Working together, we can keep making Bedfordview better to benefit all,” Constas stressed.
Better Bedfordview is an apolitical registered non-profit organisation that was formed by the community to clean up, restore and maintain Bedfordview’s roads, parks, pavements and public spaces.
This includes fixing potholes.
Their funding comes from caring, community-minded residents and businesses.
