Saheti class of 2024 excels

Jason Barbis from Saheti School was recognised as an IEB outstanding achiever, attaining full house distinctions in nine subjects.

The Saheti matric Class of 2024 did it again with a 100% pass rate, achieving 286 distinctions (4.5 per candidate) in the IEB exams.

Each learner achieved at least one distinction.

Additionally, 25 of the 286 distinctions were A+ (90-100%), with five subjects achieving 100%.

Sixty-one distinctions rank in the top 1% nationally.

Having 27% of the Class of 2024 achieving full house distinctions boosted this result.

Jason Barbis, recognised as the IEB’s outstanding achiever, is Saheti’s Dux. He attained a full house in nine subjects and a 98% average. His performance includes 100% in mathematics and life orientation, with all subjects awarded an A+.

Joining the same IEB list was Pano Katsikides, with a full house of nine distinctions in the A+ category, a 96% average and a 100% in calculus and algebra (further studies mathematics.

Head prefect Zoi Pashou attained a full house distinction pass in nine subjects, with all subjects in the A+ category and a 95% average.

The IEB recognised two Saheti learners as commendable achievers: Michael Spartinos (full house, nine distinctions) and Tatiana Altoynis (six distinctions).

Daniella Kritzas, Alexandra Avraamides, Yianna Michael and Amalia Stylianou achieved averages in the 90% range.
Nastassja Parkes, Pano Economou and Kyros Stavrides attained a full house of eight distinctions each.

Rounding off the achievements, six students attained a full house of seven distinctions each: Arabella Joy Wesson, Mustafa Karodia, Bossman Daapah, Andreas Ioacovou, Cris Kassimatis and Nischay Moodliar.

The school’s executive head, Morag Rees, said, “These results showcase the energy that is Saheti – its ethos, its dedicated staff and its invested community. As executive head, I feel proud of every single matriculant.”

Academic director Dr Daniela Pitt, who mentored the matriculating group, said, “Believing in every learner’s worth and potential in a school where staff work as a team yields excellence.

Indeed, these results are gold nuggets of continued success for our students. Their accolades are a testament to their committed and dedicated work. I do not doubt they will continue to shine in their chosen field of study.”
