St Andrew’s celebrates outstanding matric results

The top achievers include Caitlin Herbst, Nawaal Mia and Gabrielle Parkes, each attaining nine distinctions.

Excitement and adrenaline were in the air when the Class of 2024 collected their statements at St Andrew’s School for Girls on January 13 in the afternoon.

The school announced its 36th consecutive year of achieving a 100% matric pass rate, marking an academic record for the Class of 2024.

The St Andrew’s School for Girls top achievers with nine distinctions each: Nawaal Mia, deputy of academics Andrew Bishop, Caitlin Herbst, the school’s executive head, Gill Jeffrey, and Gabrielle Parkes.

All 62 learners qualified to pursue tertiary studies, with 61 earning a Bachelor’s pass and one a diploma pass.

The school attained 185 distinctions, with their top three learners each bagging nine.

The Class of 2024 collects their results on January 13: Kyla Yapp, Shumirai Kanengoni and Mphaphathi Molapo.

The top achievers include Caitlin Herbst, Nawaal Mia and Gabrielle Parkes, each with nine distinctions.Mia earned recognition on the IEB outstanding achievement list for placing in the top 5% nationally in six or more subjects. Herbst and Aalyah Laljith earned commendable rankings in the top 5% nationally for five subjects.
